About Bank PO Job

About Bank PO (Probationary Officer) and prepration for P.O. jobs

Probation, a word which if I right-click in Ms Word; means trial, experimental, audition or test. So, Bank Probationary Officers or POs are the futuristic officers of bank who are on trial for a gestation period and subsequent to training they become incumbent as Officers/Branch Managers.

Apparently, PO is perceived as one of the most enticing jobs in student community. Nonetheless, at the same time attached to the job are high responsibilities which inter-alia includes daily number crunching, logical reasoning and of course extensive reading. It also has to do a lot with customer relations as can be seen in the vision statement of most of the banks in India. Since, all the operational jobs of banks are done on computer and basic knowledge of computer is required, which starts from knowing the physical hardware components to understanding MS-office and desktop functions.

So, as per the need of the job the Bank PO exam tests the capability of the aspirants which includes quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, data sufficiency, reading comprehension, data interpretation and general and banking awareness.

Though all the questions asked in the Bank P.O. exams are of easy to medium in the level of difficulty, but the only constraint is time and technique. An aspirant with average or even below average aptitude can also solve the entire paper but would take longer time duration to do so. Thus the essence of the exam is the combination of accuracy and time. Here at Halfmantr.com, we consider solving time as the most crucial resource, thus we will not only share the knowledge about the topics but also the apt technique of how to solve questions in given timeframe.

All the best future PO’s!!!
